Session three - the three oarsman + one

Session three was an experience, three oarsman plus an oarswoman who is a senior 3 rower!?! There were good bits and there were funny bits and then there were bad bits... me losing my seat came under at least two of those categories!!

It was pointed out that my booking a tank session in isolation on tuesday was a little (okay a lot) stupid. We have opted to skip it in favour of tacking it onto the thursday river session... 5pm Tank, 5:30pm River.

Lessons learned the hard way...
- how not to get set in the boat (it took us an age to get a float) - luckily this slot had no time pressure.
- what not to do if you lose your seat (i.e. do not stop rowing, or pull your oar in, or arse about finding the seat- generally I did all three, sadly!!).
- what not to do if you get pulled in the slot lottery (see tank comment above).

Still the boat was moving quite sweetly at times and fun was had by all... especially in the weed!! It seems the stand-in crew members price may have risen to a pint and a bar of chocolate... she wasn't expecting such a good workout ;o)
